What to know
The group income protection insurer trains actuaries at its Dorking finance hub, and its own UK careers page describes the route: “Our multi-year rotational programme, promotes your development and application of key actuarial skills. Our programme provides you with comprehensive exam support, resulting in a placement as a successful Actuary in our growing global business.” It names Basingstoke and Dorking as its UK campuses. Unum posts these as rolling vacancies rather than an annual windowed scheme, so the board is the thing to watch: the Actuarial Trainee vacancy that was live when this row was added on 24 August 2026 had gone by 9 September 2026, when the UK actuarial postings were an Actuarial Reporting Manager in London, a Senior Actuarial Manager in Pricing at Dorking and a nearly or newly qualified Actuary in London, with the only early-careers actuarial role a United States summer intern position in Chattanooga. The old careers.unum.com UK landing address moved to unumgroup.com, which is what this row links.

What to do now

There is no date here to act on yet. Read the employer’s own page for anything published since the date beside each row, and spend the wait on the parts of an application that do not need an open window: the CV, the numerical and situational tests, and something to say about why this employer.
