What to know: The rural mutual's graduate page says actuaries sit at the heart of its business, and runs pricing and risk schemes alongside the actuarial one. Read 9 September 2026: the page still says “Applications for our Actuarial 2026 graduate scheme are now closed.” and heads its scheme list “Our 2027 Graduate Schemes are coming soon”, with Actuarial shown as closed, while its own FAQ answers the timing question, “Our applications open mid-September and are typically open for six to eight weeks. However, please be aware that we will close early if we get sufficient applicants.” So the next window is days away rather than months, and it can shut early. NFU Mutual also says its programmes start in September each year and you must apply the year before, the scheme runs three years, and the starting salary is £30,987 plus up to 10% annual bonus. It will not sponsor visas for its graduate programmes.

What to know: Paid, eight weeks, for penultimate-year undergraduates, and NFU Mutual says first years are considered too. Its own internships page names nine programmes and the Financial Risk one is the actuarial route in its own words: through the Financial Risk Actuarial Internship you contribute to real projects such as With-Profits Business Management and Life Capital Management activities, working closely with experienced actuaries and analysts. The page states no dates for 2027 and warns that programmes may close at any time once sufficient applications have been received. The sentence about applications opening mid-September and staying open six to eight weeks sits on NFU Mutual's graduate page and speaks about graduate applications, so it does not carry across to this row. Last cycle's internship applications closed on 26 February 2026. The internships listing was empty on 8 September 2026, which is an empty listing rather than a closed scheme.
