Financial Conduct Authority actuarial graduate scheme, internship and deadlines

A public body. The work is advice to government, regulation of the insurance and pensions market, or running a statutory scheme, and the recruitment process is the public sector’s rather than a firm’s. Every actuarial route we follow at Financial Conduct Authority is below, with the window in the employer’s own words, the closing date where one is published, and the day it was last read.

What to know
The conduct regulator's rotational graduate scheme, with early-careers roles in London, Leeds and Edinburgh. Read 9 September 2026: the page now publishes a timeline per route rather than an open or closed line, and the graduate one opens in early October, with assessments from November to March and successful candidates joining the following September. Nothing was live yet, the FCA's own early-careers job board returning no roles at all. The page names specialisms such as financial regulation, risk and compliance, economics and technology rather than an actuarial stream, though actuarial-badged programmes have appeared on the FCA's application portal in past cycles, so check the roles list when the window opens. You need permission to work in the UK for the whole programme, held independently: the FCA does not sponsor these roles.

What to know
Summer internships alongside the graduate scheme, on the same early October opening, with interns joining the following June. Read 9 September 2026, the FCA's own early-careers job board returned no roles yet. Its apprenticeship route runs on a timeline of its own and the page gives no 2027 date for it: what it records is the last cycle, applications open in February 2026, assessment centres in April and May, apprentices joining on 7 September 2026.
