Legal & General actuarial graduate scheme, internship, placement year and deadlines

A life insurer or annuity provider. The actuarial work is pricing, reserving and capital on long-term policies: protection, with-profits books, annuities, and bulk annuity deals that take on pension schemes. Every actuarial route we follow at Legal & General is below, with the window in the employer’s own words, the closing date where one is published, and the day it was last read.

What to know
L&G's own Future Talent page says “Year in Industry placements are 12 - 13 month long, for university students taking a sandwich year as part of their degree.”, and that you may have the chance to convert the placement into a graduate role. It lists Year in Industry among “Our Future Talent Schemes” alongside apprenticeships, summer internships and the graduate scheme, and says it typically recruits for those programmes from October to April, but it gives no month for the year in industry specifically, so read the page rather than assume October. Its own role list said “We are sorry but your search has returned no results.” on 9 September 2026. A 2026 London placement was advertised in cycle.
