What to know
Three years in London for people aiming to qualify as actuaries, rotating through reserving, where you estimate future claims from data and trends, pricing, where you analyse risk and costs and build pricing tools, and capital modelling. Chaucer's own page states 35,000 pounds plus a progression bonus, a 500 pound sign-on, 26 days holiday and a three-year contract with the potential to become permanent, with full training and study support. It runs six other graduate programmes, including a Dublin actuarial one that needs the right to work in Ireland, and its apprenticeships are claims and underwriting only, with no actuarial route. Every closed notice on the page sits under a heading labelled 2026, which after 1 September is the cycle just gone, so treat 2027 as unannounced. No dates are published at all: the FAQ says the deadline appears on the application form and that Chaucer reserves the right to close applications early if it receives enough.

What to do now

There is no date here to act on yet. Read the employer’s own page for anything published since the date beside each row, and spend the wait on the parts of an application that do not need an open window: the CV, the numerical and situational tests, and something to say about why this employer.
