- Sompo's own UK early careers page says its 24-month Trainee Programme equips graduates with the essential business and technical skills needed for a successful career in insurance and reinsurance, and lists study hours for accreditation exams such as actuarial exams among what a trainee gets. The UK trainee flyer on the same site gives the programme as 18 to 24 months, in the office five days a week, and names actuarial among its career paths alongside underwriting, claims, catastrophe modelling and risk control. The same page carries a separate ten-week paid UK summer internship, whose own flyer names no actuarial stream, and whose only route in is an email address. No opening or closing date is published, and Sompo's own board carried no trainee, graduate, internship or apprenticeship posting on 8 September 2026, so there is no live application door. Sompo said on 24 February 2026 that it had completed its acquisition of Aspen Insurance Holdings and that Aspen would transition to trading under the Sompo brand: aspen.co now redirects here and Aspen's own careers page is gone, so this is where an Aspen application would now start.
