WTW actuarial graduate scheme, internship and deadlines

A large consultancy. The actuarial work is advice sold to clients: pension scheme trustees and the companies that sponsor them, insurers, and investors. Every actuarial route we follow at WTW is below, with the window in the employer’s own words, the closing date where one is published, and the day it was last read.

What to know
WTW rewrote this page for the 2027 cycle. Under its own heading “Our graduate programs” it now names eleven graduate programmes across two businesses, Risk and Broking and Health, Wealth and Career, of which three are actuarial: Actuarial Graduate Analyst, Graduate Actuarial Consultant - Insurance and Retirement Actuarial Graduate. It names no Investment Consulting programme, which earlier cycles did, so that route is not something to plan on until WTW names it again. The page states no dates of its own; the dates live on the postings, six 2027 graduate postings on WTW's own job board in Dublin, Edinburgh, Leeds, London, Manchester and Reigate, the London Retirement Actuarial one stating 30th September 2026. WTW asks you to apply once: its postings carry the warning that it does not accept multiple applications and that you should only select and apply to one programme per year, which matters if you are also looking at its internship. Its own page sets the bar at a 2:1 in any discipline, with an A or B in A-level Maths or a numerate degree if you are going for an actuarial route.

What to know
Eight weeks, starting in late June or early July, for penultimate-year students. WTW's own internships page names a Retirement Actuarial Trainee Consultant Intern and an Actuarial Consultant Intern among its UK and Ireland programmes and publishes no dates of its own; the dates live on the postings. Seven 2027 Retirement Actuarial internship postings went live on WTW's own job board on 1 September 2026, in Birmingham, Bristol, Edinburgh, Leeds, London, Manchester and Reigate, and the ones read state a closing date of 30th September 2026. The insurance-consulting Actuarial Consultant Intern route is named on the page but had no live UK posting on 8 September 2026. Asks for a 2:1 on course in a numerate discipline, or a predicted 2:1 in any discipline with A-level Maths at A or B. WTW asks you to apply once: its postings say it does not accept multiple applications and that you should only select and apply to one programme per year, which matters if you are also looking at its graduate programme.

What to do now

Applications are open. Rolling recruitment closes plenty of these schemes as soon as they are full, so the closing date is a ceiling rather than a plan: apply in the first week you can, and get the numerical tests out of the way before the window shuts.
